SUBUD TUNBRIDGE WELLS

SUBUD TUNBRIDGE WELLS

14 Culverden Down, Tunbridge Wells, TN4 9SA

Tunbridge Wells Subud Hall is a refurbished Infants School Building purchased by Subud® Britain in the late 1970s and within easy walking distance to the town centre. It is situated close to the A26 for Southborough/London.

The property is well maintained and quiet. Facilities include an attached car park giving entry to a reception lobby, off which is a large sitting room and fully equipped kitchen. The lobby also leads to the corridor, off which are two large halls, ladies and gents toilets, and a disabled and baby changing facility. Separate from the halls there is a self-contained alternative health clinic.

When the halls are not in use by the Subud Group they are available for public hire, subject to availability. Please refer to our hall-hire page for details.

About Subud

Subud® is an international, spiritual association of men and women who share an experience known as the ‘latihan‘. The association can be found in some 70 countries worldwide. Its purpose is to unify peoples and raise consciousness. Subud is a spiritual movement with many thousands of people from all cultures and backgrounds; Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus and peoples of no religious persuasion, all practice the latihan exercise together. Subud is not a religion, nor a sect of any religion. Subud is a receiving, based on direct experience and not based upon belief systems or teachings. The path of Subud is the path of spiritual completion of a human being. There is a three month waiting period for new applicants to Subud in which they meet with helpers to have questions answered.

As an outer expression of its aims, the association has set up health, educational and social projects around the world. Subud does not engage in any kind of advertising; information is available on the Subud® Britain website (www.subudbritain.org).

The exercise, the latihan, is practised twice weekly.
